My WordPress Tech Stack in 2026

I don't chase every shiny new tool. I bet on stability and performance. Here is what I use to build robust websites.

February 12, 2026 Tech Stack

Agencies hire me to make technical decisions so they don't have to. Here is my "Holy Grail" stack for 2026.

1. Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro

The backbone of data structure. I define Custom Post Types and Fields here. It ensures data is separated from design.

2. Elementor, Bricks Builder or GeneratePress

Elementor is the most popular page builder in the world, and for good reasons: a massive ecosystem, constant updates, and a huge community. For most projects, it's the ideal choice.

Bricks Builder is an excellent alternative for those who want cleaner HTML markup and a more code-oriented approach. For mostly text-based sites, GeneratePress + GenerateBlocks remains unbeatable for raw speed.

3. Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WSForm

Contact Form 7 has been my go-to for years: lightweight, flexible, and perfect for most forms. Gravity Forms is ideal when more structured workflows are needed. For projects requiring complex conditional logic, calculations, and advanced integrations, I pick WSForm.

4. Hosting & Deployment

  • Hosting: Kinsta or Cloudways (Vultr HF). Fast TTFB is non-negotiable.
  • Deployment: FTP for quick deploys, GitHub Actions when the project calls for version control and automation.
