I love working with Agencies, but not all of them are ready for a remote partner. Outsourcing requires *more* process, not less.
1. Do you have a Dedicated Project Manager?
A developer cannot be effective if they have to chase clients for content or clarify vague emails. I need a single point of contact who owns the project timeline.
2. Is the Design Finalized?
"Developing while Designing" is a recipe for budget overruns. White-label development works best when the design phase is approved and locked before I write a single line of code.
3. Is the Content Ready (or placeholder strategy defined)?
We don't need every comma, but we need to know the structure. Developing a "Services" section without knowing if there are 3 services or 30 is inefficient.
4. Is the Budget Aligned with Quality?
If you sold the project to your client based on a $50 theme, you cannot afford custom development. Ensure your pricing model allows for professional rates (e.g., €45/hr) without eating all your margin.
5. Are you ready for a Partner, not a subordinate?
The best relationships are collaborative. I will push back if a feature harms UX or performance. If you want a "Yes-Man", look elsewhere. If you want a technical expert to improve your product, we are a match.
